Everyone Always Hangs Out in the Kitchen

Despite being in the throws of the worst economic crisis of her generation, Noa Sloan just dropped a fortune renovating her kitchen. Ever the trendsetter, NSB balked at the current "white cabinet, granite countertop & stainless steel appliance" look of the modern kitchen and instead opted for a subtle red retro look. She's already gotten her money's worth cooking up a storm and stocking the fridge. She made Mommy a delicious cloth egg sandwich on wooden toast this morning, and avoided a disaster of catastrophic proportions after a metal saucepan ended up in the microwave. Mom and Dad are hoping this update to the apartment really helps the resale value. It's all about the kitchen!

Anatomy Class

A major scientific breakthrough took place this Monday in the midst of the weekly Barnes & Noble music class, and it turned NSB's world upside-down:

Noa is not the ONLY person with a belly button!

Yep, you heard it hear first, folks. Noa certainly didn't expect a round of "Show & Tell", but when Manny B lifted his shirt completely unprovoked for the "Who's Who" of the Under-2 set to see, jaws dropped and eyes bulged.

After the shock subsided, Noa took that "inny" for a test drive to see what it could do. It passed the poke-test, but the real question still lingered:

Did Manny steal Noa's belly button??
NOPE! Still there!
PHEW!

Fall Fun & Halloween, Too

What a great Autumn weekend! Friday we Trick-or-Treated on Grandma and Grandpa's street. Noa balked at the adorable Elmo hand-me-down costume from cousin Meredith, so Mom and Dad went with a Bumble Bee Fairy get-up instead. Of course, Noa looked just as cute! Saturday, we took Noa to see the farm animals at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills. She loved running around the property and playing with the other little kids. Check out some pictures below, and also in Noa's 17th month album.

Hope There's Not too Much Homework...

Today was Noa's first day of school! In our house, we call it "Pre-Pre-School" but its really called First Friends at Congregation Kol Ami. All of Noa's BFFs are in the class: Tanner, Maddy, Manny & Mikey.

Noa made the rounds to every toy in the room, but the vinyl sukkah was the clear favorite. She all but moved in and set up house! We're hoping the sukkah is in permanent rotation at First Friends, although something tells us its a seasonal thing.

While there was no homework, the day was not without the usual pre-pre-school drama. A little girl choked on a grape during snacktime. Noa spent the last 5 minutes banging on the door begging to leave. And Tanner's Mommy accidentally locked him in the car with the keys inside after school!

Stay tuned for more school-day fun next Thursday! Check out some pictures below. For the whole reel, click HERE.

"Welcome to my Sukkah! Come in. Make yourself comfortable. Want a cold beer?"

"I'm missing my nap for THIS???"

"Finally! Somebody got my memo: a bathroom thats just my size!"

Westward Ho!

The Benerofe Family just got back from an amazing 10 day trip out west! Here we are experiencing nature at Brainard Lake in picturesque Boulder, Colorado. We hung out on the CU campus (Dad's alma mater), walked the Pearl Street Mall, and spent time with old friends. We also hit up California wine country for our good friends wedding and recruited our incredible traveling babysitters from Chicago to come along: Bama Susie & Papa Ken! We did wine tastings, cooked delicious dinners, and celebrated Dad's 31st birthday.

It was a great vacation, but now it's back to reality! You can check out the pics HERE.

It's ME!!!!

We just had to post this video. Mom thought she was just taping Noa playing with her books, until she realized that she was actually reading them! This book is one of Noa's favorites. The words, "It's ME!" are on every page. Listen as Noa reads the book out loud, then sneaks in a shout out to Elmo at the end.

These Sneaks Were Made for Walking

It's no secret, Noa has taken a very strong anti-shoe stance ever since she started walking last month. Mom and Dad tried everything from sandals to sneakers and each one was immediately unvelcroed, kicked off and thrown to the floor during a full-blown, teary-eyed, feet-kicking temper tantrum. Even the salesman at Nordstom told Mom he'd never seen anything like it!

We were sure we had another Shoeless Joe Jackson on our hands, until Dad decided to take Noa to Heathcote Bootery, where Grandma Robin bought him all his kicks when he was a kid. Turns out Noa has a double-wide foot and we didn't know it. (um, DUH) Not only are her new sneaks much more comfortable, but they're stylin' too. She wore them right out of the store, just like a big girl, and walked around the entire strip mall breaking them in looking very proud of herself!

Elmo: IN, Froggy: OUT

Could it be that White Plains' hottest couple has finally cooled? Say it isn't so!

On the heels of the oh-so-predictable Aniston/Mayer breakup, it seems that Noa and Froggy have also decided to call it quits.

Once seen snuggling in Noa's crib every night, friends of the former couple claim that Froggy has been carelessly tossed aside, literally, for a much younger, much redder man.

Paparazzi caught a brooding Froggy licking his wounds outside Noa's crib last week, looking like nursery roadkill. Pathetic!

So who is this colorful mystery man who stole Froggy's Friday night girl? Apparently it's none other than the notoriously ticklish A-Lister, Elmo. Sources say 'E' has been flying in every weekend from his Sesame Street estate to woo his new girlfriend.

The Noa/Elmo relationship has made for some juicy tabloid fodder, as paps have caught the inseparable duo's every move on film. One shot in particular suggests Elmo may have given NSB a cell phone with a direct line to his trailer on set. Another snapped the couple on a double date with Bert and Ernie at a romantic Italian restaurant sharing a spice container of oregano.

Who knows how long this love affair will last, but if Noa and Elmo want to last longer than an open container of Enfamil they should take a cue from Brangelina: Get a moniker. What do you guys think? !?

Elmoa?
Nelmo?
NoMo?

We're Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo, How about YOU YOU YOU!

Noa had so much fun last weekend hanging with the prarie dogs, turtles, llamas & sheep at the Bronx Zoo. She's been saying "baaaaaaa" ever since. Check it out!

Noa Walks the Line

Noa started walking last week, and we FINALLY caught her in the act. Check her out below walking, slinging her purse over her shoulder and talking on her pretend hand phone all at the same time. Wonder who she learned that from??

Walk This Way

Breaking News!

Noa Sloan took THREE steps on her own Tuesday afternoon!

She was coaxed away from the security of the living room coffee table by Mom, who was dangling her beloved Froggy as bait a few feet away. Ever since the milestone event occurred, Mom and Dad have exhausted themselves in an attempt at a repeat performance but NSB just isn't having it.

Stay tuned...

Independence Day!

Our little girl is all 'growns' up!

Noa used a spoon all by herself to eat her yogurt at dinner tonight! Bama Susie and Cousin Meredith were part of the lucky few to witness the milestone via webcam, and provided the running commentary to accompany the video Mom took to document the event.

We can't believe Baby Noa is feeding herself!! What's next?! Wiping her own tushy???? Because that would be AWESOME.

Noa Rocks Blue Steel

After a brief hiatus from modeling following the big SI Swimsuit Issue disappointment back in May, Noa Sloan is finally back in front of the camera! What coaxed her out of hiding you ask? Her new personalized pink tick-striped arm chair from Bama and Papa of course!

Seen below taking This Weeks' Favorite Toy for a test run, Noa rocked every pose in her repertoire, all while gnawing on a Zweiback. Maybe next month she'll be challenging Zoolander to a walk off!?!

Happy Birthday Noa, Part 2 of 2

Maybe two parties was a wee bit much, but come on; Noa had A LOT to celebrate! At one, Noa is now standing on her own, dancing, clapping, pointing, and talking up a storm. About every third word is "hi!" or "bye-bye!", but she also says Mama, Dada, happy, clap, and hi-do which is code for Howya doin'? We can't believe how quickly the year went!

Check out the pictures from Noa's New York birthday party on the roof of our apartment building HERE.

Happy Birthday Noa, Part 1 of 2

Noa is such a jetsetter...With an entourage on both "coasts", (the coast of Lake Michigan, of course) she couldn't just have one party to celebrate her upcoming big birthday...So the 1st of 2 raging soirees kicked off last Sunday morning at Bama and Papa's house in Chicago...Noa took down her cupcake with the help of Mom and Dad, even rubbing some frosting in her hair as makeshift hair gel. So ingenuitive of her!

Check out the month 12 gallery on the right for more pics, and stay tuned for Part 2 of Noa's Birthday Celebration this weekend!

Lost SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Found??

New pictures of NSB have been released by the publishers of Sports Illustrated in the wake of the Miley Cyrus/Vanity Fair scandal. Photos feature Noa Sloan posing coyly with hairbrush in hand sporting a faux-leather white halter bathing suit with rainbow-colored ice cream cones and pink ruffles.

Sources say it was this pic that was originally slated to be the much coveted 2008 cover shot until SI bigwigs chose to go with sexy over sporty and ultimately went with scantily-clad supermodel Marisa Miller instead.

NSB expressed her disappointment in a rare radio interview on ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning. "I'm sad they decided to go in another direction, but I can't say if SI had given me the opportunity to pose on the beach wearing nothing but a diaper and some beads that I would've signed on. I may not be potty trained, but I do have my self-respect!" It was a proud moment for Mom and Dad.

An Early Mother's Day Gift for Mom

Noa took her dirty diaper off in her crib today during her afternoon nap. We're posting a before shot of the little devil since we do want people to keep visiting the blog.

Happy Mother's Day!

The Living Room Sessions

Riding the success of Scorcese's critically acclaimed Rolling Stones documentary Shine A Light, The Daddy Band has hit back by releasing it's own never-before-seen footage of a recent Saturday afternoon jam session in The Living Room.

While lead guitarist Daddy lays the band's main soundtrack, it's tambourine talent Noa Sloan that steals nearly every scene. NSB's energy rivals Jagger's; she bounces, shakes, and sings nearly every song confirming what Mommy's been claiming all along. The girl's a bonafied Triple Threat.

For a sneakpeak of the film, check out the trailer below.

Spring is in the Hair!

Spring is in the air, and Noa is bringing sexy back! So for all you suckas on the scene this spring...consider this your notice. Beware of the Hair!

ADDENDUM: The blog's been compromised! It's been hijacked by Dad, the author of this hysterical post.

Who's Your Daddy?

We've all seen pictures of how much Noa looks like Mommy when she was a baby, but we must admit, Noa is really starting to look more and more like Daddy these days. Today we lifted some old photos of Dad out of Grandma Robin's albums to post on the blog. She's definitely a Benerofe!

Snow Day!

Noa and Mommy are in Chicago visiting Grandma, Papa, Aunt Liz, Uncle Mark and Cousin Meredith. We were supposed to fly home today, but our flight was cancelled due to an early Spring Snowstorm. Taking advantage of an extra day of vacation, Noa put on her snowsuit and played outside in the snow for the first time. Dad is so jealous, we bet he'd be snowboarding down the driveway if he were here! Looks like Noa takes after her Daddy...

Check out the ninth month photo gallery for more Chicago pics.
